Monday, July 15, 2002I'm such a snob when it comes to web design. I mean, I'm no genius, and there are plenty of non-profesionals who do a far better job than me, but still. Some things are just wrong, and make me cringe when I see/hear them, like embedded midi tunes, background images that render the text unreadable, that kinda thing.Anyway, one of my pet gripes is pages that you have to scroll sideways to see half of the content. I run in 1024x768, so when I see a page that requires a lot of scrolling, I tend not to bother, and pity the people running 800x600. So... I was just snobhopping and came across a blog that made me scream. Everything was in iframes, which in itself is no bad thing, but the entire layout was horizontal. Isn't that odd though? Why should I consider it fine to have lots of vertical scrolling, but not horizontal? Is this just my own personal snobbery, or do other people feel the same way? Steve 1:42 AM [+]
