Tuesday, August 13, 2002What an odd thing. It's common knowledge that I run a webcam, even when I'm asleep. I'm completely used to being watched, and in some strange way, I enjoy it. Now, the cam software I use allows me to see the ip numbers of the people watching, and I've gotten to recognise quite a few of them... mostly just friends and people I know who're checking to see if I'm online, or who're in the chatroom. A few watch for quite some time, while most just for a couple of minutes. What gets me curious is when I see a new ip number that I don't recognise, and that person watches for several hours. There's one there right now, it's been there for a long time, and I've no idea who it is. It's not someone who's simply left their browser up and forgotten about it, 'cause I blocked them for a moment to cut the video feed, and then unblocked them again... they came right back. It's just odd, 'cause I don't know why a person would watch for so long. I'm dressed (well, mostly) and not doing anything interesting, just reading a book before writing this post. It's not unsettling, and doesn't bother me or anything... just makes me very curious.
