Monday, March 10, 2003First day in the new job was a doddle. It's a complete no brainer, and so easy it's funny. I think I can quite happily go in, do my (pleasantly short) shift, and come home again without giving it a second thought. Perfect. After work, I took myself down to the doctors to get this dodgy vein in my leg, and the cough that's been bugging me for the past couple of months checked out. The vein is 'probably' nothing to worry about, and the doctor agreed with me when I said I thought it was most likely down to being sat on my arse all day every day on the net, and that now I'm working and more active, it should be okay. Still, he did say I should keep an eye on it, and go back to see him if it gives me any more trouble. As for the cough... he couldn't hear anything abnormal in my chest, but considering I smoke, and have been coughing for quite a while, he's sending me for a chest x-ray just to be on the safe side. Truth is, he figures if there's anything at all wrong, it may be mild asthma. Too many cigs is my theory, but whatever, I'll go get the x-ray done this week just for my own peace of mind.
