Oops. This isn't clever.The electricity's just gone dead on my whole estate.
I thought maybe I just needed to stick another card into the meter, or at worst that a curcuit breaker had popped for some reason, but on poking my head outside the front door, my next door neighbour was doing exactly the same as me... looking at his electricity meter.
I bet it's those damned workmen just round the corner... probably cut through a mains cable by accident.
So I'm sat here now writing this on the laptop's battery power, wondering how long before it dies. Good job it works like a UPS unit, no interruption at all.
*Twiddles fingers waiting for the power to come back on.
