Ever noticed how people look different in different towns?Brigitte amd myself are both avid people watchers. Be it body language, clothes, size, faces, whatever.... we observe the people around us wherever we go, and generally take the piss out of them when they're out of earshot.
So yesterday we were in Daventry near Northampton, and while wandering around the supermarket it suddenly dawned on me that everyone in the place looked as if they'd been hit in the face with a shovel. Ugly doesn't begin to describe the people in that town... grotesque is more like it.
Thing is, you expect to see the odd less than pretty person in your day to day travels, but EVERYONE in that place was utterly flat faced, bulging eyed, jug eared, grotesque.
Forget Roswell, New Mexico... aliens have indeed landed, and they live in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
Be afraid... be very afraid.
