Thursday, August 26, 2004Ah, I do love a to watch huge doccumentary box sets.A few months ago it was 'The World At war', a 10 dvd set on WW2, before that, the recent Ch4 4 dvd box set 'The First World War'. Today it's the 7 dvd set of the 1964 BBC doccumentary 'The Great War', and I have to say, it's very good. On a par with The World At War, it stomps all over the Ch4 doccumentary in terms of both footage and detail of coverage of the military actions, though the Ch4 series is still worth having as it goes into more detail regarding the political situations. This is probably gonna be the last world war doccumentary box set I buy though, as I think I have pretty much all the info I could want on the wars. Next on my shopping list are the two David Attenborough wildlife doccumentary box sets. Steve 3:32 AM [+]
