So on we went, completely lost, somehwere in Buckinghamshire, with the rain absolutely lashing down like you wouldn't believe, when the car decides it doesn't like all this water getting into it's engine bay.
Missfire? I should say. Neither of us had a phone on us, and even if we had, we didn't know where we were. Fortunately, the car managed to keep moving, albeit grumpilly, and we proceeded to play "Town Pinball". This is where you head towards a town you've heard of before, and then as you near it, you look for signposts to another town you've heard of before, which is hopefully in the right direction.
It's a very indirect way of getting home, but it worked.
