Milton Keynes, River, Bridge
A bridge across the river Great Ouse, just below the weir at Stony Stratford, in Milton Keynes.
I love this place, having spent much of my childhood fishing the river. When I was older, I crossed this bridge and walked across the fields between Deanshanger and Stony Stratford every day, to go to work.
This shot was taken fairly early in the morning in January, so the sun was quite low in the sky and extremely bright. This caused the camera to rather overcompensate, making the scene look quite dark. Also the colour saturation has been boosted slightly to give a somewhat dreamlike quality.
