Overjoy: Crash 'n' Burn

This is the 14th in a series of music videos documenting my musical progression from utterly rubbish, to somewhere around almost half decent.
The video is simply a visualisation on Winamp, for which I claim no artistic credit. It's simply something to look at while listening to the music.

Going by the band name "Overjoy", this was recorded in 1992 using a Tascam Porta 01 4-track portastudio, and like most of the tunes under the Overjoy band name, was intended to be played by a band. Again, this sounds better through headphones than from speakers.

This is another of my favourite tunes from my "Overjoy" period. Typically, it's repetitive, and no doubt to the casual listener, completely boring.
Again though, there's a lot more going on here than it first appears, and you definitely get more from it when listening through headphones.
This is another tune that's heavily influenced by acid rock bands like Loop, Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized. I was very much going for that mesmerising effect that puts the listener into a trance, and to some degree, I think I succeeded with this one.... or maybe it's just so boring that you fall asleep.
The weakest thing in this is definitely the bassline... partly because like most of the tunes from this period, I didn't have a bass, and was using a cheap Yamaha keyboard, which didn't lend itself to any kind of flowing rhythm.
It could really have done with some wahawah lead guitar, but I didn't have a wahwah, and as you've probably already found out, I suck at lead guitar anway.
