This is a short video clip of me playing Clean Sweep on the Vectrex retro video games console.
Coded by Richard Moszkowski and published by GCE in 1982.
Clean sweep is a fairly straight copy of the classic Pac-Man, with only altered character graphics and "unloading" to differentiate it from that classic maze muncher.
In Clean Sweep, you control, apparently, a vacuum cleaner. Heaven only knows what the wannabe ghosts are supposed to be. So, true to your typical vacuum cleaner, when your character is full (it gets bigger as it fills up), you have to take it to the little room in the centre of the maze to empty it.
This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
