This is a short video clip of me playing Cosmic Chasm on the Vectrex retro video games console.

Coded by Bill Hawkins and published by GCE in 1982, Cosmic Chasm is one of those rare games that went from home consoles to arcades, as opposed to going from arcades to consoles.

Penetrate the caverns, shoot the enemy ships, drill through the defence shields to exit the cavern in order to enter the next one, and get it all done before the core thingy at the centre expands and kills you.

This is one of those love it or hate it games. Personally, it's not my cup of tea.

This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
