Spike on GCE / Milton Bradley Vectrex
This is a short video clip of me playing Spike on the Vectrex retro video games console.
Published by GCE in 1983.
Spike is a very memorable 2D/3D platformer featuring some highly amusing digitised speech.
Supposedly, Spike is a hedgehog, though I can't really see it myself. It certainly doesn't bear any resemblance to a certain other platforming hedgehog.
Whatever the case, this game has become a Vectrex cult classic.
This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
